We're committed to bringing you the most accurate and up-to-date information on travel and credit cards, and we often draw on our own experiences to do so. Our team has a deep network of sources across credit cards, points and miles, hotels, destinations, aviation and cruises. We also take the flights, stay in the hotels and carry the credit cards we write about. We do not allow outside sources to review or weigh in on our content before we publish it. All of our content is fact-checked and edited before publication.

Review methodology

The Points Guy evaluates credit cards based on earning potential, reward redemption and perks, among other factors. Our hotel reviews are based on multi-night stays – our team collectively spends over 1,500 nights per year in hotels – and our flight reviews are based on flights we've taken, often on the newest aircraft and routes. Our cruise reviews are based on sailings we've actually taken, and we often publish features about our experiences at destinations and events around the world. Each review is fact-checked and edited by one of our expert editors.
